Darksiders 2 how long is the game

That's not to say DS2 is completely void of that, it's just marred by pacing and giving you the same quest to do 3 times rather than giving you 1 interesting quest and an awesome dungeon to go through. Yeah, I've stalled in Darksiders I really enjoyed the story and the Angels of the first game, but so far nothing of the story really interests me in Darksiders 2. Darksiders 2 is a game that thinks it is so epic, it absolutely forgets that somebody is actually playing it, and that the boring bits don't take 5 seconds, like in the movies.

I cared about the similarities to other games. I never finished Darksiders 1 because it felt so similar to games like God of War in the combat department and Zelda Not all of us want Zelda to go in the direction Darksiders is going for, no.

There are other games with similarities, but even Zelda-like Okami had its entirely own combat system that wasn't ripping off anything in particular and downplayed the puzzles and structure of the Zelda games.

It seemed from all the coverage that Darksiders got more of it's own identity in this installment. Sad to hear that's not the experience a fan of the first one got.

I go a step further and say that Darksiders II has no redeeming features at all: uninspired and inconsequential plot, repetitive combat, vast areas filled with absolutely nothing, dumbed down exploration, very scarce "Zelda-esque" backtracking The few good aspects of the game had been done in Darksiders 1 much better. And the loot system feels tackled and hurried, and it adds barely nothing to the overall experience.

I would have liked it better if you only had a few possessed weapons that you could upgrade, like you do with the various swords in Zelda games.

About the only thing keeping my interest up is the loot as I am a loot horder. Darksiders 1 is a better game. Don't really know why they diverted from the formula that made the first one so good. I would also like to add that I personally find the " PoP" style platforming severely out of place in this game. It feels like a very similar and very different game at the same time.

I love the idea of loot but here it just feels so lazy. I like the idea that different weapons give act differently even within the same speed class but 1 claw weapon to another claw weapon is basically identical. After playing Borderlands 2, it doesn't go to the same lengths.

Possessed weapons sound like a good idea but pretty much only on paper where the reality is that they're almost useless after gaining a couple of levels and most of the gear you get from random drops is utter crap whereas in Borderlands, my best gear has come from a random find rather than questing for it which is more the case here. All of the faffing about still just adds to the unnecessary padding the game has. I haven't actually gone back to it since I wrote this blog post but the game shows its hand so quickly and the games pace is just bringing me down.

I was incredibly hyped for Darksiders II. Loved the first so as soon as the Collector's Edition became available I pre-ordered it. But I totally agree. The story is pretty thin, the environments aren't as interesting as the first, and the lack of Zelda-like upgrades made the entire game feel very samey. The ultimate disappointment was the ending.

Creative manager Jeremy Greiner says that it'll take you at least 25 hours to finish the supernatural hack-and-slasher.

He adds that the game has a ton of side content. It's larger than the first Darksiders , though not only in terms of content. Greiner says that the visuals have a more epic scale as well. The downside to making such a huge game is that it takes longer to wrap up development.
