How can i learn welsh

The writing test is harder than the multiple choice but is important if you wish to be able to write Welsh as well as speaking it! As you can see from the screenshot, there is a Help button if you get stuck To start using Learn Welsh click here or on the "Start" button at the top of the page. On the Start page you choose the first topic you want to learn.

Once you have worked through these lesson activities, play a few games to reinforce the Welsh for your selected topic. Then finally try our two tests - multiple choice and writing - to make sure you have learned the language correctly. If you are a parent, you may want to check out our parents page for more information on how your child should use Learn Welsh to enhance their Welsh language learning. We also have a YouTube channel for Welsh learners with lots of video tutorials!

Learn Welsh is for kids and the parents of kids and young adults who need or want to learn Welsh as a second language. You might be starting to learn Welsh for the first time, or you may need to reinforce what you are learning at school or with your tutor with additional lessons and games.

It will be of interest to all those who want to improve their language skills in order to communicate more easily and effectively in Welsh. The course focuses on basic greetings and introductions, numbers and days of the week. By the end of the course you will have gained confidence in communicating in Welsh, and you will be able to understand language used by speakers from different areas of Wales. You will develop the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in Welsh.
